Transforming residential heating across Europe with CO₂-cutting heat pumps that lower energy bills and can easily be controlled from anywhere through a mobile app.

Overview

Background

At Aira, I worked in a cross-functional team - taking initiative on independent tasks while collaborating closely with designers in weekly design critiques. I worked on smaller UI tasks, such as building components for the design system, as well as larger assignments, where I researched and redesigned the current design and user flow.

Terms of Services redesign

Problem

The end-customer app displays Terms of Services through a web view, which does not provide the best user experience. The goal is to redesign and integrate Terms of Services seamlessly within the app to make it aligned with the end-customer app’s overall aesthetic and make it easier to navigate within the app.

Research and analysis

The research consisted of reviewing and analyzing existing Terms of Services in other applications, gathering screen shots and identifying pros and cons with the designs and flows.

Design concepts

I created various wireframes with focus on navigation and overall user experience. Then I gathered feedback from the design team during design critique.

Hi-Fi mockups

Taking feedback from the design team in consideration I created a set of hi-fi mockups of the final design to provide the design team with options.

Improve and redesign onboarding flow

Problem

The end-customer app requires new users to go through a multi-step onboarding process before finally getting to the home screen. The goal is to simplify this process to create a more seamless and engaging experience for new users, ensuring they more quickly and easily can start using the app.

Research and analysis

The research consisted of reviewing and analyzing the onboarding and account activation flow in other applications, gathering screen shots and identifying pros and cons with the designs and flows.

Design concepts

I created wireframes for two different design concepts with focus on reducing the number of screens and steps while maintaining essential information. Then I gathered feedback from the design team during design critique.

Hi-Fi mockups

Taking the design team's feedback into account, I created a set of high-fidelity mockups using pre-existing components, which ultimately led to a more seamless onboarding flow with less steps.

Home screen redesign

Problem

The current end-customer app home screen displays information solely about the heat pump. With not yet disclosed products, the start screen needed to be redesigned to include and display these new elements and how they function together. The goal is to create a minimalistic and user-friendly overview of all connected devices with focus on scalability.

Research and analysis

The research consisted of reviewing and analyzing similar applications, gathering screen shots and identifying pros and cons with the designs and flows.

Hi-Fi mockups

I created final designs with focus on presenting the most necessary information and keeping the end-customer app’s overall aesthetic and user experience. Then I gathered feedback from the design team during design critique. Due to NDA I can not show any hi-fi mockups of the home screen redesign.
